1- By social and religious institutions-

Social reformers and great men of the society raised their voice against the disease like untouchability and awakened the general public against this evil. Various organizations like Brahmo Samaj, Arya Samaj Ramakrishna Mission made great efforts in this direction. Gandhiji made great efforts to end untouchability. Apart from this, great men like Dr. Ambedkar, Jyotiba Phule and Pariyar raised their voice against untouchability or caste magnificence and made efforts to end it.

2-By constitutional arrangements-
