What is different? How many types of fractions are there?

Friends, fractions are used in almost all the places in distribution or in calculating the money of the owners of the company in companies. Read this post completely to understand the fraction. What’s wrong with this post? How are the types of fractions and fractions interchanged? etc. have been mentioned.

What is different?

The amount obtained by dividing one number by another number is Fraction it is said.

In a fraction, the number above the line is called the numerator and the number below the line is called the denominator.

Example:- This 5 4 is a fraction. It can also be written as 5/4. Accordingly, 5 is called numerator and 4 is called denominator. 5/4 means that five things are to be divided into four equal parts. Similarly, 3/8 means that three things are to be divided into eight equal parts.

types of fractions

These are as follows-

1. abbreviated fraction

A fraction whose numerator is not divisible by the denominator is called Lowest Fraction it is said.
The numerator of this fraction is not divisible by any number other than 1.

Example:- 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 4/5 etc.

2.Compound Fractions

A fraction which has one integer and one fraction, then it is called Mixed Fraction it is said.

Example:- 2 correct 1/2, 6 correct 4/6 etc.

3.Mixed Fractions

Such a fraction whose numerator and denominator are both different, then it is called Complex Fraction it is said.

Example:- 6/7/8/4, 4/5/9/4 etc.

4.Reasonable Fractions

A fraction whose numerator is less than the denominator is called Proper Fraction it is said.

Example:- 5/6, 10/11 etc.

5. Improper fractions

A fraction whose numerator is greater than or equal to the denominator is called Improper Fraction it is said.

Example:- 6/5, 11/10, 13/13 etc.

6.continuous fraction

This fraction is simplified from bottom to top. It is written as follows.

inverse fraction

7.Inverse Fraction

The fraction whose numerator and denominator are interchanged, then the fraction obtained is called Reciprocal Fraction it is said.

Example:- The reciprocal fraction of 6/7 will be 7/6.

8.Decimal Fraction

Such a fraction whose denominator is as a power of 10 or 10, then it is called Decimal Fraction it is said.

Example:- 3/10, 7/10, 11/100 etc.

interchange fractions

To solve the problems, one must have the knowledge of converting fractions. Which is explained as follows-

1. Converting Improper Fractions to Mixed Fractions

When the numerator of an improper fraction is divided by the denominator, the quotient obtained is written as an integer, the remainder as the numerator and the denominator as the denominator. So the number written in this way is called a mixed fraction. Look at the image to understand this. (What’s the difference?)

2. Converting a Complex Fraction to an Improper Fraction

In this, after multiplying the whole number of the mixed fraction by the denominator, the number obtained is added to the numerator. Then the numerator and denominator of the added number remain the same as before. So the number written in this way is called improper fraction. Look at the image to understand this. (What’s the difference?)
