What is Immunization?

Immunization-

Immunization is a biological process to produce the ability to prevent infection, disease, or other viruses in an appropriate amount.

Immunization (or vaccination) introduces a disease into the body that triggers an immune response to protect people from disease, just as if you were naturally exposed to a disease.

Vaccines contain antigens or parts of antigens that cause disease, but in vaccines the antigens are either killed or greatly weakened. Vaccines work because they trick your body into thinking it is being attacked by a real disease.

The body is attacked by viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasitic protozoa and other parasitic organisms present in the environment. They continue to reach the body through air, water, food, contact or other means. They cause diseases in the body. To avoid the infection of these microbes, three levels of protection are found in the body-

1-First Defensive Level-

The germs are destroyed or inactivated by germicidal chemicals secreted from various glands and cells like skin, alimentary canal, respiratory tract etc.

2-II Defensive Level-

When germs cross the first protective level and reach the body, the second level of defense acts to destroy or inactivate them. It provides natural or non-specific protection to the body. white blood cells The microbes destroy them by devouring them.

3-Third defensive level or specific immunity-

The pathogens establish a state of infection by crossing the first and second defensive levels of immunity. It contains different types of lymphocytes to destroy pathogens. antivenom either Antibodies Makes it free in the blood. some lymphocytes’memory cells‘ (memory cells). Antibodies or antibodies destroy microbes. Once an infectious disease occurs, there is no chance of the disease coming back; Because in the event of re-infection, the memory or memory cells immediately destroy the germ by making antibodies. Under this arrangement, the second infection ends sooner than the first infection. same process immunization Is. vaccination Immunity to disease is established artificially by
