What is the principle of flotation?

Principle of Floatation It says that when an object or body flows on a liquid, the force acting on the object or body buoyant force is equal to the weight of the object.

Principle of Floatation

The displaced volume of the fluid is equal to the volume of the object immersed in the fluid. When the weight of the object is greater than the upward buoyancy, the object will sink in the liquid. When the weight of the object is equal to the upward buoyancy, the object becomes balanced so that the object floats.

Archimedes says that all objects that are placed in a liquid, then the objects experience an upward force that allows the object to float, and this displaces water with a weight equal to the object’s weight . This upward force acting on the object is known as the buoyant force and the law is known as the law of buoyancy. The law of flotation is an application of Archimedes’ principle.

So, Principle of Floatation states that when a body with its volume partially floats above a liquid surface, the amount of liquid displaced by the body is equal to the volume of the submerged part of the body. Since the body is in equilibrium, the buoyant force on the body must be equal to its weight.

Who gave the theory of flotation

When the density of an object is less than the density of water, it is said to be floating or floating. The flotation of a body or object depends on its density. The Principle of Floatation was propounded by Archimedes.

Note – When a boat displaces water equal to its own weight, it floats. to this event Principle of Floatation is referred to as. It states that a floating object displaces a mass of fluid equal to its own weight.

Law of Flotation

Its rules are as follows-

  1. The center of gravity of the solid and the center of gravity of the removed liquid should both lie in the same vertical line.
  2. When an object floats in a balanced state, it displaces a fluid equal to its weight.

What is called buoyancy?

When a solid is immersed in a liquid, the combined result of the upward buoyancy experienced by it Buoyancy It is called

What is the inflection?

The property of fluids, due to which they exert an upward force on objects, is called upthrust it is said.
