# What is the rule of coulom

We will know what is the Coulam’s law since we have read that there are two types of charge: positive charge and negative charge. Repulsion between the homogeneous charges (like charges) and heterogeneous flow

To determine the magnitude of this force, based on experiments in 1785, Coulom formulated a law according to which the attraction or repulsion force between two point charges, both of those oscillations.

## Coulom’s law limits-

1.Coulom’s rule is true only for point charges, but this rule can also be applied to opposite charges by the integration method.

2.This rule is true only for charges located in the period of rest, the force exerted between the moving charges is given by other rules.

3.The rule of coulomb is true from excessive distance (range of kilometers) to short distance (range of 10⁻¹⁵ meters) between charges. Therefore, on the basis of this force, the electrons of the atom bond with the nucleus.

4.It is worth remembering that there is attraction between particles proton-proton, proton-neutron and neutron-neutron present inside the nucleus (r <10⁻¹⁵ m). This force is called nuclear force. Of this force by Coulom's law

## CGS Method

CGS In the method, if the unit of force is witch, the distance unit cm, the charge unit is static-coulom and both charges are located in vacuum (or air), then the value of constant is 1. Hence the location in vacuum (or air)

## Importance of Coulom’s law

1.This rule is derived on the basis of experimentation, so it is a practical rule.

2.The charge exerted between two point charges has other charges located near them.
